Meanwhile, in the men's section, Hockey Maharashtra and Hockey Haryana also showcased impressive performances at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The first women's match on Sunday featured Hockey Himachal against Hockey Karnataka. Both teams displayed equal vigor in the first half, resulting in a goalless draw. However, in the second half, Manasa KP (36’) broke the deadlock by navigating through Hockey Himachal’s defense and scoring the first goal for Hockey Karnataka. Rohini MR (42’) added another, leading to a 2-0 win for Hockey Karnataka.
In the subsequent match, Kerala Hockey triumphed over Hockey Maharashtra with a score of 5-1.
