Dubai, Nov 4 (NationPress) Indian opener Smriti Mandhana, all-rounder Deepti Sharma, and batter Jemimah Rodrigues have been honored as the three representatives from India in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament.

This exceptional trio is joined by three players from the runners-up, South Africa: Captain Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp, and Nadine de Klerk. They are complemented by three Australians -- Ashleigh Gardner, Annabel Sutherland, and Alana King. Completing the lineup are two English players -- Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone, alongside Pakistan’s Sidra Nawaz.

In the final showdown, Mandhana was selected to open alongside Wolvaardt. This pair emerged as the tournament’s top run scorers, with Wolvaardt topping the list at 571 runs and an impressive average of 71.37, marking her as the highest individual run-scorer in ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup history, thanks to her stunning consecutive centuries in both the semi-final and final.

Mandhana also made a significant impact, scoring a century against New Zealand during the league stage, finishing the tournament with 434 runs at an average of 54.25.

Rodrigues secured the number three slot with a match-winning score of 127 not out, propelling her team to the final at the expense of Australia. Sharma was recognized for her outstanding bowling performance, leading the charts with 22 wickets, including a pivotal spell in the final match.

The Proteas were well represented, with Kapp reclaiming her spot following strong performances both with the bat and ball, scoring two half-centuries and capturing 12 wickets, including a stellar five for 20 against England in the semi-final, which made her the all-time leading wicket-taker in ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup history.

Nadine de Klerk also showcased impressive all-round skills, contributing an unbeaten 84 off 54 balls in a victory against India and securing nine wickets.

Aussie bowlers Alana King and Annabel Sutherland were pivotal in the ICC’s tournament selection. King made history with a seven-wicket haul against South Africa while conceding just 18 runs, marking the best bowling figures in any edition of the Women’s World Cup.

Sutherland ended with 17 wickets and contributed an unbeaten 98 to help her team triumph over England in the league stage, forming a remarkable 180-run partnership with Ashleigh Gardner, who also hit her second century of the tournament while taking seven wickets.

Sidra Nawaz donned the wicketkeeper gloves, concluding her tournament with three catches and four stumpings for Pakistan. Her remarkable catch on the leg side against India dismissed the eventual World Cup-winning captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and she demonstrated quick reflexes to run out Kim Garth in the match against Australia.

Ecclestone rounded out the XI with 16 wickets at an average of 14.25, including impressive four-wicket hauls against Sri Lanka and South Africa. Her teammate, Sciver-Brunt, contributed 262 runs and nine wickets, earning her selection as the 12th player after a notable first World Cup as captain.

The selection panel comprised commentators Ian Bishop, Mel Jones, and Isa Guha, along with Gaurav Saxena (ICC General Manager – Events and Corporate Communications) and Estelle Vasudevan (Journalist Representative).
