Furthermore, CA has revealed that public tickets for the matches in Sydney and Canberra are also fully booked, urging fans to secure their tickets for the remaining games, which are quickly disappearing. “We are delighted by the astonishing response to the Indian fan zones being sold out across all eight venues,” they stated.
“We are eager to witness the excitement building around this series and the robust passion fans consistently exhibit for the sport. We look forward to an electrifying atmosphere in the stands and a world-class competition on the pitch between these two illustrious cricketing nations,” expressed Joel Morrison, CA’s Executive General Manager Events & Operations, in a statement.
The white-ball tour of Australia by India kicks off with the ODI series opener on October 19 at Perth Stadium, followed by matches at Adelaide Oval and Sydney Cricket Ground on October 23 and October 25 respectively. Renowned batting icons Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma are anticipated to participate in the ODI series, which is the sole format they are engaged in internationally after stepping away from Tests and T20Is.
Following the ODIs, there will be a five-match T20I series commencing on October 29 at Manuka Oval in Canberra, with subsequent games at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 31, Bellerive Oval in Hobart on November 2, Gold Coast Stadium on November 6, and The Gabba in Brisbane on November 8.
During India’s last tour of Australia for a bilateral ODI series, the visitors faced a 2-1 defeat in 2020/21, but they successfully claimed victory in the subsequent T20I series with the same margin.
