Abu Dhabi, Dec 16 (NationPress) The England wicketkeeper-batter Ben Duckett was acquired by Delhi Capitals for a starting bid of Rs 2 crore during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction, held at the Etihad Arena.
Making his T20 debut in 2012, Duckett has accumulated 5,397 runs across 216 T20 matches, marking 34 half-centuries. With a personal best of 84, he has scored 527 runs for England in 20 matches, boasting an average of 29.27 and an impressive strike rate of 153.64.
His T20 career includes stints with Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League, Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, and Welsh Fire in The Hundred, among other global T20 leagues.
Meanwhile, South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock, who has been in excellent form during the current white-ball series, was signed by the Mumbai Indians for a base price of Rs 1 crore. De Kock was previously released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after IPL 2025.
De Kock's IPL journey includes teams such as Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders. In 115 matches, he has tallied 3,309 runs at a strike rate of 134.02 and an average of 30.63, recently scoring a remarkable 90 off 46 balls against India in Chandigarh during the second T20I of the ongoing five-match series.
Finn Allen, a New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter, was sold to KKR for his base price of Rs 2 crore. Currently fit, Allen is playing for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League and offers versatility to KKR's top order, capable of opening alongside Ajinkya Rahane while also providing wicketkeeping support if needed.
This marks Allen's second franchise in the IPL, following a previous tenure with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Additionally, England's Jamie Smith and Jonny Bairstow, Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and India's KS Bharat went unsold.
