New Delhi, Nov 15 (NationPress) Olympian Gurpreet Singh achieved the highest placement for the Indian contingent with a ninth-place finish, as no medals were won in the 25m Standard Pistol event during the ISSF World Championships 2025 held at the Olympic Shooting Range in Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday.

Yao Qianxun of China showcased her dominance by securing her third individual gold medal, complementing her previous gold in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team and a silver in the 25m Sports Pistol event. The men's category saw Adrian Schaub from Switzerland crowned as the world champion.

In the overall medal standings, India sits in third place with three gold, five silver, and four bronze medals, while China leads the tally with 12 gold medals, followed by South Korea with seven golds.
