Noida, March 10 (NationPress) Following two weeks of exhilarating polo action, the Jindal Polo Spring Season moves into its third event, the Carlos Gracida Memorial Cup (6 Goals), scheduled from March 11th to 15th, 2026, at the Jindal Polo Estate in Noida.

This tournament pays tribute to the iconic polo player Carlos Gracida, recognized as one of the sport's all-time greats. His extraordinary talent and numerous victories in the U.S. Open Polo Championship have left an indelible mark. The Memorial Cup celebrates his significant contributions to international polo and attracts elite players during India’s vibrant spring polo season.

Following the thrilling conclusion of the Sunjay Kapur Memorial Cup, where Team X narrowly triumphed over Jindal Panther with a score of 8–6, another week of intense competition is on the horizon.

Six teams will compete in the tournament, divided into two pools.

Pool A: Riverside, Tigers, Instrucko

Pool B: Jindal Panther, Carysil, Youngsters

The teams feature a mix of experienced professionals and rising stars, ensuring thrilling matches throughout the league phase, culminating in the final on March 15.

The Carlos Gracida Memorial Cup will showcase several high-handicap players who can greatly influence the outcomes. Leading the charge is Argentina’s Juan Gris Zavaleta (+7), a top-tier player representing Jindal Panther with invaluable experience. Other prominent players include Shamsheer Ali (+4) and Simran Shergill (+4), whose strategic acumen is essential for their teams.

The tournament will also feature talented +3 players such as Siddhant Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Naveen Singh, and Hurr Ali, who have demonstrated impressive performances in the Spring Season.

Moreover, versatile +2 players like Phill Seller, Salim Azmi, Angad Kalaan, Bhawani Kalvi, and Dino Dhankar will play crucial roles in facilitating attacking plays and maintaining team coherence.

The action kicks off on Wednesday, with the Tigers facing Instrucko in the inaugural match, followed by Carysil challenging Jindal Panther later in the day. The league will continue on March 12 and 13, leading to the selection of finalists through a series of competitive encounters.

After a break on March 14, the tournament will conclude with the championship match on March 15, where the third champion of the Jindal Polo Spring Season will be crowned.
