Mumbai, Nov 4 (NationPress) The Senior Men’s Selection Committee has officially announced the squad for India A in the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup.
This exciting tournament is scheduled to unfold in Qatar from November 14 to 23 at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
Teams are divided into two groups: Group A comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka, while India A finds itself in Group B, facing Oman, UAE, and Pakistan 'A'.
Leading the squad will be India’s wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, with Naman Dhir, an all-rounder from Punjab, serving as vice-captain.
The lineup features remarkable young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has been called up to the India A team at the young age of just 14.
Sooryavanshi recently made headlines by achieving the fourth-fastest Youth Test century in history, scoring a century in 78 balls during a match against Australia U19 at the Ian Healy Oval last month. He also set a record for the most career sixes in Youth ODI cricket with a brilliant 70-run innings off 68 balls in a previous match against the same team.
