London, March 10 (NationPress) After dedicating over a decade to Racing Bulls, the esteemed Technical Director, Jody Egginton, is preparing to leave his role and embrace a new opportunity as Engineering Director at Red Bull Advanced Technologies.
This new journey, starting on April 1, signifies the conclusion of a pivotal chapter in Egginton’s Formula 1 career, while opening the door to an exhilarating challenge ahead.
Beginning his F1 journey in 1996 as a Junior Designer with Tyrrell, Egginton has built a remarkable career in the racing world. Throughout his journey, he has held significant roles with various teams, such as Midland (which later transformed into Spyker and Force India) and Team Lotus.
In 2014, he joined the then Toro Rosso team as Head of Vehicle Performance, advancing to Deputy Technical Director in 2017 and ultimately becoming Technical Director in 2019.
His exit indicates a restructuring at Racing Bulls, as his duties will now be distributed among Chief Technical Officer Tim Goss and Deputy Technical Directors Guillaume Cattelani (Car Performance) and Andrea Landi (Car Design).
