Key Takeaways
Vrindavan, April 20 (NationPress) - Renowned Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bengaluru star, Virat Kohli, along with his wife, Bollywood sensation Anushka Sharma, made a visit to Vrindavan seeking spiritual enlightenment and blessings. The couple engaged in an intimate spiritual dialogue, termed "Ekantik Vartalaap", with Premanand Ji Maharaj at the esteemed Ashram Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj, Varah Ghat, on Monday.
Recently, RCB played against the Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where Kohli managed to score only 19 runs off 13 balls during his innings. With a five-day break until their next match against the Gujarat Titans on Friday, Kohli took this opportunity to visit the ashram for spiritual guidance.
This marks the third visit for Kohli and Anushka in the last five months. The couple frequents the ashram, making this their second visit this year, having previously traveled to Vrindavan in February shortly after their son Akaay's birthday on the 15th.
Last year, they visited the ashram three times: in January with their children, in May right after Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, and again in December.
A video shared by the ashram on their YouTube channel, Bhajan Marg, showcased Kohli and Anushka sitting quietly among a large gathering, absorbing the teachings of Premanand Maharaj.
During a previous session, the spiritual teacher discussed the ultimate purpose of life and the path of devotion as guided by one's spiritual mentor.
The couple's increasing spiritual engagement has been apparent in recent years. In 2023, they visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple and paid homage at the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, among other sacred places.
Virat Kohli is set to appear in RCB's upcoming match against the defending champions, Gujarat, who currently hold the second position in the IPL points table with eight points from four victories and two defeats across six matches.
