Srikanth, who is currently ranked 65 globally after a challenging period, fought hard for 59 minutes to secure a 23-21, 21-17 victory over the world No. 33.
In the quarterfinals, he will face France’s Toma Junior Popov, who reached this stage after beating India’s Ayush Shetty with scores of 21-13, 21-17.
