This transfer concludes a prolonged negotiation that began with United's initial offer over a month and a half ago.
“When I learned about the opportunity to join Manchester United, I had to seize the chance to play for the club of my dreams; the team I idolized growing up,” Mbeumo stated on the club's official platform.
“I am committed to constantly improving. I possess the spirit and determination to elevate my game here under Ruben Amorim and alongside world-class talent.
“I have heard great things about the atmosphere being cultivated here and the ambitious plans for the future. This is a tremendous club, with an extraordinary stadium and passionate supporters. We are all eager to compete for the highest honors,” he added.
Mbeumo is set to join United's pre-season tour in the United States, which kicks off on Thursday.
During his time at Brentford, Mbeumo netted 70 goals and provided 51 assists across 242 matches, including 20 goals last season as the club narrowly missed European qualification.
The 25-year-old achieved 20 goals in the Premier League last season, ranking fourth in the league, along with eight assists. Since Brentford's promotion, he has averaged an impressive 18 goal contributions per season.
Jason Wilcox, Manchester United's Director of Football remarked, “Bryan’s record of goals and assists in the Premier League is outstanding; his consistent performance has ranked him among England’s most prolific players over the last three seasons. The experience in the US will be an excellent opportunity for Bryan to connect with Ruben and his new teammates as we gear up for an exciting season ahead.”
