Dubai, Sep 20 (NationPress) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially revealed the Panel of Match Officials designated for every league match in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The tournament featuring eight teams will kick off on September 30 in Guwahati, where India will face Sri Lanka, with Claire Polosak and Eloise Sheridan from Australia serving as the on-field umpires.

This marks Polosak’s third participation in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, while Sheridan was part of the officiating team during the previous World Cup held in New Zealand three years ago.

Both umpires have made significant strides in the field. In 2018, they were the first female duo to officiate in a competitive match in Australia, and five years later, they became the first women to oversee a Sheffield Shield match.

In addition to Polosak and Sheridan, TV Umpire Kim Cotton and fourth Umpire Shathira Jakir Jesy will join them for the opening match, with Shandré Fritz acting as the match referee.

Sue Redfern and Gayathri Venugopalan will officiate the encounter between Australia and New Zealand on October 1, while Lauren Agenbag and Nimali Perera will take charge of Bangladesh's match against Pakistan on October 2.

Agenbag officiated the 2022 final alongside Kim Cotton, whose first match as an on-field umpire this time will be India’s match against South Africa on October 9.

The all-female panel consists of four referees and 14 umpires, representing nine different countries.

Appointments for the semi-finals will be disclosed at the end of the round-robin stage, with final appointments made once the finalists are determined.
