Lahore, Feb 12 (NationPress) As the 2025 Champions Trophy nears, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled three distinct squads that will compete in the warm-up matches against Bangladesh, South Africa, and Afghanistan respectively, in preparation for the major event. These warm-up games are scheduled from February 14 to 17, leading up to the main tournament, which is set to take place from February 19 to March 9 in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The matches will feature Afghanistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh on February 14 and 17, with Afghanistan also participating in a warm-up match against New Zealand on February 16, as per PCB's announcement on Wednesday.
These matches will serve as the final preparations for the team ahead of the Champions Trophy. South Africa and New Zealand are currently in Pakistan for a tri-series alongside the hosts.
The PCB has selected three separate Pakistan Shaheens squads for the upcoming matches.
On February 14, Shadab Khan will lead the Shaheens against Afghanistan in Lahore. On February 17, two teams from the Shaheens will compete in Karachi and Dubai. Mohammad Huraira will captain the team against South Africa in Karachi, while Mohammad Haris will lead the squad facing Bangladesh in Dubai.
