PGA TOUR Reveals 2025 Fall Series Lineup Featuring Seven Events

Ponte Vedra Beach (USA), Dec 18 (NationPress) The Professional Golf Association (PGA) TOUR has revealed its lineup for the 2025 Fall Series, an essential seven-event schedule featuring visits to Japan, Mexico, and Bermuda, all designed to finalize eligibility for the 2026 season.
The Fall Series encompasses events on the PGA Tour that span across two calendar years. Established in 2007 as part of the tour's reorganization, it became integrated into the PGA Tour in the 2013-14 season. Notably, Indian-American golfer Sahith Theegala secured a victory in one of the Fall Series events in 2023, guaranteeing his position for the 2024 PGA TOUR.
The FedExCup Fall in 2025 will commence with the Procore Championship (Sept. 8-14) at Silverado Resort in Napa, California, before a two-week hiatus during which the Ryder Cup will take place at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. The FedExCup Fall will then continue with the Sanderson Farms Championship (Sept. 29-Oct. 5) at The Country Club of Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi, as announced by the PGA Tour in a release on Tuesday night.
“Following an incredibly engaging FedExCup Fall, the upcoming eligibility modifications will amplify the thrill and anticipation for fans, as players have more on the line than ever,” stated Tyler Dennis, PGA TOUR Chief Competitions Officer, in the announcement.
“With competitions in four U.S. states, alongside Japan, Mexico, and Bermuda, the conclusion of the 2025 golf calendar is set to be exhilarating for our global fanbase, while also making a lasting difference in the communities we engage,” he added.
As previously disclosed, the PGA TOUR event in Japan has both a new title sponsor and a fresh venue. Thanks to the TOUR's multi-year partnership with global consulting firm Baycurrent, Inc., the newly branded Baycurrent Classic (Oct. 6-12) will be held for the first time at Yokohama Country Club, located in Yokohama, Japan. Renowned as one of Japan’s premier golf courses, Yokohama Country Club was designed in 1960 by Takeo Aiyama and renovated in 2016 by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.
The Black Desert Championship (Oct. 20-26) will follow in Southern Utah at Black Desert Resort, as the TOUR builds upon a successful debut in 2024 that marked its first visit to Utah in over 60 years, the announcement highlighted.
Subsequently, the FedExCup Fall series will make its way to Los Cabos, Mexico, for the World Wide Technology Championship (Nov. 3-9) at El Cardonal at Diamante, a golf course designed by Tiger Woods. The season will wrap up with the Butterfield Bermuda Championship (Nov. 10-16) at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, followed by The RSM Classic (Nov. 17-23), where the FedExCup Fall standings will be finalized at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Changes to eligibility for the 2026 season have been previously announced by the PGA TOUR, which will make the FedExCup Fall increasingly significant in the upcoming year. Notably, the top 100 players in the FedExCup standings through the 2025 FedExCup Fall will receive exemption status for the subsequent PGA TOUR season, reduced from 125 in previous years, with players ranked 101-125 obtaining conditional status.
This adjustment to the Priority Ranking, endorsed by the TOUR’s Player Advisory Council and ratified by the Policy Board on November 18, assures that the 35 players who earn their cards through the Korn Ferry Tour, DP World Tour, and PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry will have greater predictability regarding their schedules and fair playing opportunities, as confirmed in the statement.
The FedExCup Fall will finalize the top 100 eligibility for the 2026 FedExCup Regular Season, granting exempt status for Full-Field events and a place in THE PLAYERS Championship. Winning during the FedExCup Fall offers significant advantages, including a two-year PGA TOUR exemption, 500 FedExCup points, entry into the season-opening The Sentry, and eligibility for major championships that traditionally invite PGA TOUR winners.
Five out of seven winners from the 2023 FedExCup Fall proceeded to qualify for the 2024 FedExCup Playoffs – Sahith Theegala, Tom Kim, Collin Morikawa, Erik van Rooyen, and Ludvig Åberg – while seven players in 2024 advanced into the top 125, securing fully exempt status for the 2025 season after starting the FedExCup Fall outside the top 125.
Players qualifying for the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs (top 70) are guaranteed exemption for the 2026 season, while those moving into the BMW Championship (top 50) will also be exempt from all Signature Events for 2026. Players ranked No. 51 and beyond will carry their FedExCup Points from the Regular Season and the initial FedExCup Playoffs event into the FedExCup Fall and will continue to accrue FedExCup Points to finalize the FedExCup Fall standings and establish eligibility for the 2026 season. As part of the Aon Next 10, players ranked Nos. 51-60 through the FedExCup Fall will secure spots in two early-season 2026 Signature Events, namely the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational.
The PGA TOUR will follow the FedExCup Fall with its Challenge Season, which consists of three events: the Hero World Challenge (Dec. 1-7), hosted by Tiger Woods; the mixed-team Grant Thornton Invitational (Dec. 8-14), co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR and LPGA; and the PNC Championship (Dec. 15-21).
