Tokyo, Nov 24 (NationPress) Pranjali Prashant Dhumal triumphed in the women’s 25m pistol competition on Monday, securing her third medal at the Deaflympics.
Previously, she clinched gold in the mixed pistol event with teammate Abhinav Deshwal and took home a silver in the women’s air pistol. Mosina Halyna from Ukraine earned a silver in the 25m pistol event, while Jeon Jiwon from Korea grabbed bronze. Anuya Prasad, the gold medallist in women’s air pistol, placed fourth in this event.
Pranjali advanced to the finals by establishing a new world and Deaflympic qualification record, achieving a score of 573 out of 600.
Just a day prior, Abhinav Deshwal contributed to India's medal tally by winning gold in the same 25m pistol event, also breaking a qualification record.
