Jaipur, March 16 (NationPress) Rajasthan United FC and Real Kashmir FC are set to clash in their upcoming match, aiming to enhance their standings in the Indian Football League 2025-26. Rajasthan United aims to ascend to the top position, while Real Kashmir is eager to achieve their first victory of the season at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur.

Rajasthan United will be playing their second consecutive home game after a thrilling 3-2 win against Namdhari SA in the previous round. A victory in this match would temporarily elevate them to the top of the table.

Utilizing a possession-focused attacking strategy, Rajasthan will rely on their on-form forwards. French striker Amadou Soukouna was a standout performer in their last match, scoring a dramatic winner in the 96th minute.

Assistant coach Vikas Rawat emphasized the significance of this match, stating, “This game is crucial for us as securing three points could propel us to the top of the standings. We have been working diligently towards this goal, but we are also aware that Real Kashmir will bring great intensity, as they seek their first win.” He added, “We anticipate a competitive match and hope our fans will support us in large numbers, just like in our last game.”

Real Kashmir, led by head coach Ishfaq Ahmed, enters the match with their signature resilience, known for their physical style and defensive strength.

They are determined to secure a win after a frustrating 2-2 draw against Aizawl FC, where they led twice but conceded an equalizer in the 91st minute, placing them ninth in the standings with just two points.

“I am pleased with the team’s response,” Ishfaq remarked. “Except for one match where we fell short, the players have shown steady improvement. Our last performance displayed better character, and we are confident that we can build on those positives in this away match, manage the challenging conditions, and deliver a strong performance for a favorable result.”

Defender Basit Ahmed Bhat, who joined the starting lineup for the last match, shared his thoughts on their development. “Our team preparation has been excellent, and with each game, we are improving and gaining a better understanding of one another on the field,” he observed.

“The last game demonstrated tremendous character from the team, despite the disappointment of conceding late. We recognize that turning draws into wins is our next goal, and we believe that if we maintain our current attitude, adapt to the conditions, and stay focused for the entire ninety minutes, we can secure three points and climb the table,” he added.

Historically, Real Kashmir boasts an edge with four wins against Rajasthan United's two, and there has been one draw in their last seven encounters. In their previous match, Rajasthan achieved a commanding 4-0 victory over Real Kashmir.
