Sanya ignited the day with a dominant straight-games victory against Nirupama Dubey. The player from Delhi demonstrated sharpness from the beginning, skillfully combining length and drop shots to win 11-7, 11-9, 11-7. Her ability to maintain composure under pressure was evident in the second game, where Dubey made a comeback from behind, only for Sanya to conclude with precise winners.
Unnati faced a challenging four-game match against Anjali Semwal. After losing the first game 2-11, the young player regrouped excellently, countering Semwal’s aggressive style with thoughtful retrieves and attacking volleys.
