Turin, Nov 13 (NationPress) Reigning champion Jannik Sinner secured his spot in the semifinals of the ATP Finals by triumphing over Alexander Zverev for the third time within 17 days. The 24-year-old Italian showcased an impressive performance, clinching a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Sinner remains undefeated in the Bjorn Borg group with a record of 2-0, with a match against Ben Shelton still to come before the semifinals.
Sinner has now achieved five consecutive wins against the German player, bringing his ATP Head-to-Head record against Zverev to 6-4. Zverev's last victory over Sinner was during the 2023 US Open.
"I felt like I was serving very effectively during crucial moments. I aimed to deliver my best tennis when it counted, and fortunately, it worked out well for me," Sinner remarked.
