New Delhi, Dec 2 (NationPress) Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana made a visit to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain on Tuesday, expressing gratitude to the divine for showering blessings on her team and fulfilling their dream of winning the Women’s World Cup 2025.

Back in October, during a challenging phase in the group stages of the tournament, Rana and her teammates had visited the temple to seek divine intervention, ultimately leading them to lift the trophy in November.

It's now been a month since India claimed their first-ever ICC title, triumphing over South Africa in the World Cup final by a margin of 52 runs. Rana shared that she had envisioned India's victory during her temple visit and felt it was significant to return exactly one month later to express her thanks.

“It feels like just a blink of an eye since that win. I manifested this victory in his presence. I returned to Shree Mahakaleshwar Mandir one month later to thank him for granting us our wishes,” Rana posted on X, including a photo of her participating in the morning aarti.

Throughout the World Cup, Rana played in six matches, achieving seven wickets and playing a crucial role in India’s success. She has participated in 44 ODIs for India, taking 57 wickets and scoring 380 runs, including a half-century.

In T20Is, she has secured 24 wickets from 29 matches. Additionally, Rana has appeared in four Test matches, claiming 23 wickets with her best figures being 8/77, and a top score of 80 not out.

Rana is expected to return to the field for India when they host Sri Lanka for a series of five T20Is later this month. This will be the Women in Blue’s final international engagement before they prepare for the Women’s Premier League, commencing on January 9, where she will play for Delhi Capitals.

The tournament's fourth edition will be held at two venues: the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai for the initial 11 matches, followed by the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara for the rest, including the Eliminator and Final.

The championship match is scheduled for February 5.
