Chennai, Feb 19 (NationPress) The National Paralympic Athletics Championship, hosted by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority and the Tamil Nadu Paralympic Sports Association, showcased remarkable displays of talent as India's elite para-athletes took center stage.

In the men's F57 shot put category, Soman Rana, the national record holder, produced an extraordinary performance, besting Hokato Sema, the gold medalist from the Paris Paralympics. Rana achieved the gold medal with a throw of 14.42m, while Sema earned silver with a distance of 13.53m. Shubhan Juyal from SSCB secured the bronze, throwing 13.39m.

In the women's 400m T20 event, Deepthi Jeevanji, a bronze medalist from the Paris Paralympics and reigning world champion, dominated the race, capturing gold with a swift time of 57.85 seconds.
