The goals for Soorma were netted by Prabhjot Singh (21') and Maninder Singh (28'), while Jugraj Singh (39') was the sole scorer for the Tigers.

The first quarter commenced with both teams displaying remarkable speed and intensity. They made several impressive incursions into their respective striking circles that resulted in numerous penalty corners, yet neither team managed to convert any into goals. As the second quarter began, both teams increased their attacking efforts. Ultimately, it was JSW Soorma who broke the stalemate, with their star player Harmanpreet Singh delivering a brilliant aerial pass that was perfectly executed.

Receiving the ball at the edge of the circle, Prabhjot Singh skillfully controlled it before executing a successful reverse shot, igniting cheers from the sparse crowd in Rourkela.

This goal in the 21st minute provided the momentum for the Punjab and Haryana-based team to score again. Off a penalty corner, Nicolas Della Torre made a solid attempt that was skillfully saved by Tigers' goalkeeper Jamie Carr.

Although Gurjant quickly seized the rebound, Carr denied him once more. However, Maninder Singh, positioned near the post, redirected the second rebound into the net, securing the match-winning goal for Soorma in the 28th minute. The Bengal Tigers made a comeback in the third quarter, winning a critical penalty corner in the 39th minute. Jugraj Singh, known for his drag-flicking prowess, found the corner of the net, convincingly beating Carr.

This goal narrowed the gap to 1-2, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Soorma from clinching victory, as the final quarter saw a fierce battle between the teams, yet Soorma's defense held strong. This win was significant for the Soorma Hockey Club, marking only their second outright win in the league.
