New Delhi, Sep 30 (NationPress) South Africa's sole home summer series against the West Indies has been scaled down to just three matches, reduced from the initial five, due to a scheduling conflict with the T20 World Cup 2026.
The series, which was originally set to conclude on February 6, will now wrap up on January 31, aligning with the commencement of the support period for the global T20 tournament.
A support period is the timeframe during which teams begin arriving at the venue and preparing for their respective campaigns with practice sessions.
The final T20I of this three-match series will feature Pink Day, an annual event where the Proteas wear pink jerseys to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer treatment.
The matches will take place at Boland Park in Paarl, SuperSport Park in Centurion, and the Wanderers in Johannesburg on January 27, 29, and 31, respectively.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has revised the men's international schedule for the 2025/26 season following the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirming the dates for the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
