New Delhi, July 4 (NationPress) Thomas Partey, the former midfielder for Arsenal, has been accused of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by the Metropolitan Police Service.
The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2022, and Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5. Recently, he parted ways with Arsenal on July 1 after choosing not to renew his contract with the club.
The statement from the police noted, "The Crown Prosecution Service has granted authorization to the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man following the submission of a file of evidence by detectives."
In total, the charges against Partey include five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, according to the Metropolitan Police's announcement.
Two of the rape charges involve one individual, three charges involve a second individual, and the sexual assault charge pertains to a third individual.
