Dubai, Dec 7 (NationPress) The stage is set for a thrilling encounter between the defending champions and the nation boasting the highest number of titles, as Bangladesh prepares to take on India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday for the final of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024.
After their initial loss to Pakistan, India has shown remarkable form, defeating all subsequent opponents convincingly, including a decisive victory in the semi-finals against Sri Lanka, where they triumphed by seven wickets with an impressive 28 overs remaining.
Conversely, Bangladesh has also been formidable, with just one loss to Sri Lanka during the group phase and a solid win against Pakistan in the second semi-final, claiming victory by seven wickets.
For India, the dynamic opening duo of Ayush Mhatre and the 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi have been pivotal in their batting success, accumulating 175 and 167 runs, respectively, over four matches.
On the other hand, Bangladesh has showcased a menacing bowling attack, with Md. Al Fahad leading the wicket-takers with 10 dismissals, closely followed by Md. Iqbal Hasan Emon, who has matched this tally.
