Suryavanshi’s astonishing knock of 175 runs off just 80 balls ignited admiration from cricketers worldwide, with many declaring the Indian opener as the future star of cricket.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag remarked that Suryavanshi emerged from the Sun dynasty, emphasizing that England’s attempts were futile, as no one can halt the sun from rising.

Suryavanshi broke Unmukt Chand’s long-standing record of 111* set in the 2012 final against Australia, marking the highest individual score in a World Cup final. Unmukt reacted to the innings by writing “different breed” on X while sharing Suryavanshi’s picture.

Iceland’s cricket account humorously poked at England’s bowlers after Suryavanshi’s onslaught in the final.
