Mumbai, July 22 (NationPress) In a significant advancement for women’s football in Mumbai and Maharashtra, Warriorz FC is poised for a relaunch as a formidable contender in the city's sports landscape, aiming to ascend to the national level by qualifying for the Indian Women's League (IWL) 1.

Currently participating in Mumbai’s premier league - the MFA Women’s Premier League, Warriorz FC will be guided by the esteemed former India captain, Aditi Chauhan. The club concluded last season as the runners-up in the MFA Women’s Premier League.

Once known as Rudra FC, the team has been taken over by Capri Sports and now joins the Warriorz family, with aspirations to elevate their game. The immediate goal for Warriorz FC is to secure the MFA Women’s Premier League title, ultimately striving to earn a consistent spot in the Indian Women’s League 1 – the pinnacle of women’s football in India.

Warriorz FC marks Capri Sports’ inaugural venture into football, aiming to enhance the profile of women’s football in Mumbai.

On this journey, the focus will be on elite player training and development, alongside access to top-tier coaches and sports science experts.
