Ahmedabad, March 11 (NationPress) Gujarat's Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, graced the grand celebration commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Jetalpur Swaminarayan Temple, known as ‘Avsar’, on Wednesday.

During his address, Patel remarked that this occasion signifies the completion of two centuries since the inception of the Jetalpur Dham.
Reflecting on the temple’s history, he stated, “The moment when Lord Swaminarayan must have consecrated this temple was undoubtedly remarkable and divine.”
He noted that Jetalpur is the fifth temple established through consecration directly performed by Swaminarayan.
The Chief Minister also highlighted India's global standing, asserting that the country has remained resilient amidst shifting global dynamics under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
"We must unite to fulfill the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India," he urged.
Patel reiterated the Swaminarayan sect's vital contribution to social harmony, stating, “Lord Swaminarayan undertook significant efforts to eradicate social evils and superstitions, a mission that continues through the sect’s sadhus and saints today.”
Furthermore, he acknowledged the ongoing service activities carried out by the saints and devotees of this sect with a patriotic spirit.
On this notable occasion, Tejendraprasadji Maharaj commented: "Religion and politics should remain separate; however, when religious values are upheld in politics, it becomes commendable. Prime Minister Modi has consistently prioritized religion in political affairs."
He bestowed blessings for the happiness of the people of Gujarat under Bhupendra Patel's leadership.
Notable attendees included Kaushalendraprasad Maharaj, Lalji Maharaj, local MLA Babubhai Patel, along with esteemed saints from Kalupur and Jetalpur Dham, alongside a large assembly of devotees from the Swaminarayan sect.
