Kolkata, Feb 7 (NationPress) Recently, Aamir Khan departed Mumbai to visit Arijit Singh’s ancestral residence in Jiaganj, located in the Murshidabad district. His arrival at the singer's home, occurring shortly after Arijit announced his retirement from playback singing, has generated significant buzz.

In the midst of this, both Arijit and Aamir have faced allegations of engaging in “unauthorized activities”. It has been claimed that the actor and the singer entered a government college late at night, where they spent a considerable amount of time playing badminton and filming various clips. Images from these activities quickly went viral across social media platforms.

This incident reportedly occurred at Rani Dhanya Kumari College.

The college principal, Ajoy Adhikari, took to social media to address the situation, sharing two videos on his Facebook account, which IANS has not confirmed for authenticity. In these videos, the principal claimed that Arijit Singh and Aamir Khan, accompanied by approximately ten motorcycles, unlawfully entered the college after 1 a.m., partook in badminton, and recorded some footage.

Allegations suggest that Arijit and Aamir, along with their entourage, lingered at the college for about an hour and 20 minutes before departing around 2:25 a.m.

Following Ajoy Adhikari's post detailing the accusations and the videos on his social media account Friday night, it quickly gained traction. However, for reasons unknown, he retracted the videos and all allegations within mere hours, stating, “I was forced to delete the post.”

Sources indicate that the videos, lasting 35 seconds and 26 seconds, were captured by the college's CCTV system.

Expressing his respect for both Arijit and Aamir Khan, Ajoy Adhikari remarked, “My question is, they certainly did not arrive here for social or personal matters at such a late hour without consulting the college, let alone obtaining permission. They came with commercial motives, using the college without proper authorization and influencing the local night guard. Just because they are celebrities, does that mean they can do as they please? Is a government educational institution such a trivial matter?”

After filing the complaint, Ajoy Adhikari reportedly began receiving pressure and requests from various parties, leading him to delete the initial post that same night.

Local sources reported that on the day of the incident, Arijit and Aamir were spotted entering the college with some local leaders. Allegations suggest they pressured the college's temporary night guard via phone to gain access.

When contacted on Saturday morning regarding the incident, Ajoy Adhikari stated, “I do not wish to pursue this matter any further. We have not made any decisions about filing a police report. There was both pressure and requests to remove my initial post.”

So far, neither Aamir nor Arijit has publicly responded to the allegations.

Incidentally, Aamir’s rapid visit to Arijit’s residence has ignited various speculations. Some suggest that Aamir aimed to end Arijit’s ‘exile’ from the playback scene, where he had largely faded from public view. Others claimed that Aamir urgently sought Arijit’s voice for an upcoming film, prompting the Bollywood star to visit Jiaganj. However, it was later confirmed that the two are collaborating on a project.
