Los Angeles, May 7 (NationPress) Actor Aaron Paul, famed for his role in ‘Breaking Bad’, has officially joined the cast of the psychological thriller ‘The Midnight Pool’.
This exciting project will be directed by James McTeigue, celebrated for his work on ‘V for Vendetta’, as reported by Variety.
The film is produced by Traction, alongside McTeigue and Gramercy Park Media, which is also providing financing. It will make its debut at Cannes, where it will be introduced by the newly-established company Stoic in collaboration with CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group.
According to Variety, the script, which made the 2022 ‘Black List’, is penned by Jonathan Easley and focuses on Johnny Black (played by Aaron Paul), a disillusioned journalist who, following a personal loss, gets drawn into the enigmatic world of an elite society. Here, the quest for a life-changing story spirals into a realm of deception and altered realities.

Producers of the film include Jason Tamasco and Zak Kristofek from Traction, James McTeigue, alongside Ford Corbett and Nathan Klingher from Gramercy Park Media. The executive producers are Mason Eways, Keith Danko, Joshua Harris, Mark Fasano, Brandon Burrows, Nat McCormick, and Danny Gusman. CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group will handle North American sales while Stoic takes charge of international sales rights.
