The recent inauguration of the nation's largest sports complex in Naranpura has further propelled its ambition to transform into a true sports city.

The newest development in the city’s sports infrastructure is a cutting-edge complex located in the Vastral area of eastern Ahmedabad, built at a cost of Rs 52 crore. This multi-story facility will soon be operational and includes a range of indoor and outdoor sports options for athletes.

Residents of the city are thrilled with the establishment of world-class sports facilities in Ahmedabad, believing that these advanced amenities will offer young talents a chance to excel and make their mark in the realm of sports.

Importantly, Ahmedabad, which is Gujarat's largest city, is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, making advancements in its infrastructure for this major event.

This sports complex, developed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, will significantly enhance the city's sporting assets and readiness for a global sports competition.

Recently, Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, the largest facility of its kind in the nation.

Constructed with an investment of Rs 825 crore, this complex boasts a world-class aquatic center along with state-of-the-art facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, including training and accommodation for athletes.

During the inauguration, the Home Minister expressed strong belief that Ahmedabad is on the verge of becoming Asia’s sports capital and a memorable host for the Commonwealth Games.
