Cairo, Nov 11 (NationPress) Olympian Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar showcased his exceptional skills on the global platform, securing the silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event at the ISSF World Championships in Cairo on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old, renowned for his consistent performance in recent years, achieved a score of 466.9 in a nail-biting final, finishing second to China’s Yukun Liu (467.1). France’s Romain Aufrere captured the bronze with a score of 454.8, while India’s Niraj Kumar also delivered a commendable effort, finishing fifth with 432.6.
Earlier in the day, Aishwary made waves by equaling the world record during qualification, scoring 597-40x, which allowed him to advance to the final effortlessly. His teammate Niraj also qualified with an impressive 592, further highlighting India’s strength in rifle shooting.
