Lucknow, Sep 12 (NationPress) The Samajwadi Party has made the decision to unveil regional manifestos tailored for specific areas in Uttar Pradesh in preparation for the upcoming 2027 state elections.
Akhilesh Yadav, the party's national president, announced via a post on X on Friday that the SP will soon publish distinct manifestos for regions such as Mathura-Vrindavan, Hathras, and Agra.
He referred to this move as “the great call of the PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, Alpsankhyak)” and expressed his belief that the SP will lead the next government in the state.
Yadav justified this initiative by claiming that numerous regions in UP endure “oppressive social discrimination, halted economic activities, dwindling job prospects, and the influence of land mafias supported by the government.”
He added that the local manifestos will tackle a broad spectrum of regional issues and will act as a framework for the entire state.
Furthermore, he accused the BJP of “massive corruption, neglecting farmers, laborers, youth, women, artisans, shopkeepers, and businessmen, as well as disregarding long-standing calls for structural reforms.”
According to the SP chief, the poor state of health and education services, along with inadequate infrastructure development, showcases the government's failure to fulfill local expectations.
Referring to the ‘local manifesto’ as a “significant initiative,” Yadav stated that it would serve as a model for the entire state.
“Wherever necessary, similar local manifestos will be crafted to address concerns like roads, flyovers, electricity supply, water availability, drainage issues, traffic congestion, paved streets, and other infrastructural requirements of a particular area,” he mentioned.
Reaffirming his faith in the party's legacy, Yadav asserted that people still recall the achievements made under socialist governments and continue to trust the SP to restore Uttar Pradesh to a path of peace and prosperity.
“This is the great call of the PDA. We will establish our own government,” he declared.
The Samajwadi Party is dedicated to demonstrating its commitment to addressing the specific needs of the populace through these local manifestos.
