Mumbai, Oct 2 (NationPress) Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has disclosed her top travel spot. The actress, known for her performance in ‘Jigra’, expressed her affection for Maasai Mara National Reserve. However, she is currently unable to take her daughter, Raha Kapoor, as she has not yet reached the required age for visiting the reserve.
During her recent appearance on the streaming chat show ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’, Alia shared her passion for this national reserve.
She remarked, “I adore Maasai Mara. I could spend endless days there. Surrounded by wildlife and lush greenery, it’s one of my most cherished locations. I can't wait to bring Raha along, but I haven't done so yet since children are not allowed until they reach a specific age.”
Located in southwest Kenya, the Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s premier wildlife conservation areas, spanning approximately 1,510 square kilometers. It derives its name from the Maasai people and the Mara River that flows through it. The reserve is world-renowned for the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million zebras and gazelles migrate from the Serengeti between July and October. It is also home to the big five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, along with an abundance of bird species.
In another segment of the show, Alia reflected on her entry into the Kapoor family, the first film dynasty of Hindi cinema, mentioning that it had not crossed her mind until recently. Responding to Kajol's inquiry, she explained that when deeply involved in a relationship, the legacy of one’s spouse’s family is often the last thing on one’s mind.
She stated, “When you are so deeply connected, and the relationships are intensely personal, you don't typically view it from a professional angle regarding the legacy you are entering. That realization often comes later. It hit me when we celebrated 100 years of Raj Kapoor. At that moment, I thought, ‘Oh my God, Raj Kapoor is Raha's great-grandfather’. I only recognized that connection later. When you are so involved, you don’t perceive it in that light.”
The show ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ is available for streaming on RPrime Video.
