Surat, Dec 13 (NationPress) A fresh tourist attraction, the Amli Dam, has been established approximately 100 kilometers from Surat in Mandvi. This destination offers visitors a serene escape amidst lush greenery and flowing waters, quickly becoming a favored getaway for nature enthusiasts.

The Forest Department, in collaboration with local authorities, has enhanced the area by installing cottages, creating landscaped gardens, and providing a canteen. Despite its recent development as a tourism hotspot, the location is already attracting around 10,000 to 12,000 visitors every month.

Set in a peaceful environment surrounded by verdant hills, the dam presents stunning views that are particularly breathtaking during and after the monsoon.

Officials recommend visiting between November and February, when the landscape is at its most vibrant.

The site is ideal for family outings, camping adventures, and photography sessions. Additional amenities like picnic tables and a children's playground at the nearby Amli Dam New Garden further enhance its appeal for families.

Tourist Deepika shared her experience with IANS, stating, "The atmosphere here is delightful. The greenery is stunning, and the water is crystal clear. It's a wonderful place to visit, especially with family!"

Another visitor, Narendra Mishra, who traveled from Surat, also commended the site. He remarked, "I journeyed from Surat. There aren't many tourist locations like this in the area, but this one is truly beautiful. The variety of trees and the cleanliness maintained by the administration make it a perfect spot for a family picnic."

To cater to visitor comfort, the Forest Department and local administration have established various facilities, including cottages, gardens, and canteens. The site experiences particularly high visitor turnout on weekends.

Ravindra Raj Singh Vaghela, Range Forest Officer (RFO) of Mandvi, mentioned that accommodations like cottages and tents have been introduced to attract more tourists and provide a comfortable experience.

Arvind Vasava, Head of the Regional Migration Committee, also emphasized the amenities available at the site, noting, "We offer cottages and canteens for visitors. Tourists also enjoy the gardens by the dam. Families that come here have the best time!"

Although Amli Dam is a relatively new tourist destination, it has quickly gained significant popularity, with an impressive monthly visitor count of 10,000 to 12,000 who come to appreciate the region's natural beauty.
