Mumbai, April 10 (NationPress) Actress Amrita Rao reminisced about her career as she marked the 22nd anniversary of her comedy-drama film “Masti”, which debuted in 2004.
In her Instagram post, Amrita, who portrayed a possessive wife alongside Vivek Oberoi, shared a montage of her scenes from the film, set to the song “Ek Kunwara” as the background music.
“Today marks the MASTI anniversary... What an incredible script, filled with memories and laughter. Firsts are the best!” Amrita reflected, recalling her character Aanchal, humorously referred to as “antenna” by her husband in the film.
Directed by Indra Kumar, this adult comedy also features Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta, Tara Sharma, and Genelia. The plot revolves around three friends, Meet, Prem, and Amar, who, discontent with their marriages, scheme to cheat on their wives, only to become key suspects in a murder case.
The film led to three sequels: Grand Masti, Great Grand Masti, and Mastiii 4.
Amrita is known for her portrayal of the quintessential girl-next-door or “adarsh ladki” roles in films.
