Amaravati, Feb 1 (NationPress) Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, has expressed his enthusiasm for the Union Budget, stating that Andhra Pradesh will see substantial benefits from it.
Lokesh extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a well-structured Union Budget that he believes is in line with India's swift development and future goals.
“Andhra Pradesh is poised to benefit greatly - from the Critical Minerals Corridor and high-speed rail connectivity to tax incentives for data centres, an enhanced push for electronics manufacturing, and renewed emphasis on tourism. We are eager to utilize this Budget to boost investments, generate employment, and drive Andhra Pradesh’s next growth phase,” Lokesh shared on X.
As the son of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh also holds the position of general secretary in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is a significant player in the NDA administration at both the state and central levels.
Satya Kumar Yadav, Minister of Health, Family Welfare & Medical Education, has also praised the Union Budget.
Commenting on the Budget, he described it as one marked by clarity, compassion, conviction, and the courage to steer the nation towards becoming ‘Aatmanirbhar’ with the goal of achieving ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. He noted that it is the most favorable response in light of global political unrest and various challenges.
The Budget aims to fulfill three 'Kartavyas', including boosting economic growth, meeting the aspirations of citizens, and realizing the inclusive vision of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’, as mentioned by Yadav.
The minister appreciated the initiatives aimed at supporting MSMEs, Handlooms and Textiles, Bio-pharma, Rare Earth Minerals, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Special Economic Zones, highlighting their role in job creation.
Furthermore, Yadav commended the measures introduced to assist vulnerable populations in accessing mental health and trauma care services, along with import duty exemptions on 17 medications, including those for cancer, as well as support for seven rare diseases.
The minister pointed out that the compassionate aspect of the Budget is illustrated through the support measures for farmers, fishermen, weavers, the differently-abled, women, and the youth.
The Budget signifies the ongoing transformation initiated by PM Modi, underscored by tax reforms and a commitment to fiscal responsibility as outlined in the Budget, highlighted the BJP leader.
