Mumbai, Jan 15 (NationPress) The celebrated actors Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Ranvir Shorey, affectionately referred to as the 'Khoslas and Khuranas', enjoyed a remarkable evening with the cinema legend Ramesh Sippy, describing the experience as truly unforgettable.
Anupam shared a collection of photos on Instagram, showcasing moments with his co-stars from Khosla Ka Ghosla!, Boman and Ranvir, alongside Ramesh Sippy and his wife, Kiran Juneja.
In his caption, Anupam revealed that they delved into discussions about classic films like Sholay, Andaaz, and Seeta Aur Geeta. He also mentioned that Sippy engaged in the ‘word building’ game for the first time, nearly emerging as a champion by the end.
Anupam expressed, “We, the ‘Khoslas and Khuranas’, had the honor of spending quality time with the cinema ICON and one of my favorite people, Mr. #RameshSippy, last night!”
He continued, “We heard some incredible #BehindTheScenes stories from the epic films #Sholay, #Andaaz, and #SeetaAurGeeta. Additionally, Sippy Saab played the ‘word building’ game for the first time with us and almost became a champion! Thank you, sir, for your warmth, love, and generosity!”
Currently, Anupam, Ranvir, and Boman are filming the sequel to the 2006 film Khosla Ka Ghosla!, directed by Dibakar Banerjee. This sequel follows the journey of Kamal Kishore Khosla, a middle-class man from Delhi, as he and his family strive to reclaim their land from a builder named Khurana.
The film made its debut at the 2006 Kara Film Festival and received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi at the 54th National Film Awards. It was subsequently remade in Tamil in 2008 and in Kannada in 2010.
On January 3, Anupam reflected on his extensive cinematic journey while beginning the shoot for his 550th film, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.
“You are the MARATHON MAN of Indian Cinema!!” an International Director exclaimed at the #CannesFilmFestival last year when I shared the number of films I’ve featured in! (sic),” he reminisced.
Recalling his arrival in Mumbai in 1981 with dreams in his heart, Kher posted on Instagram, “As I commence my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2, I am overwhelmed with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS! When I landed in #Mumbai, the city of dreams on June 3, 1981, I never imagined reaching this LANDMARK of 550 films.”
Despite this extensive journey, he believes that he has merely reached the 'interval' in his career and still has much more to contribute.
Revealing what has sustained him over the years, he added, “My optimism, my never-give-up attitude, and my hard work have been my greatest strengths!”
