Mumbai, April 12 (NationPress) The iconic vocalist Asha Bhosle has passed away in Mumbai at the age of 92. She was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday.

Dr. Prateet Samdani revealed that the renowned singer had been grappling with multiple health issues and succumbed to multi-organ failure.

He expressed, "It’s unfortunate news that Asha Bhosle has left us today. She battled with various medical complications and ultimately died due to multi-organ failure..."

Ashish Shelar, the Culture Minister of Maharashtra, conveyed the tragic news of Asha Bhosle’s demise outside the hospital.

The final rites for the legendary singer will be held at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, on Monday at 4:00 PM.

Asha Bhosle's son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed her passing, stating that those wishing to pay their respects can visit her Mumbai home on Monday at 11 AM.

“My mother Asha Bhosle has passed away today. Tomorrow at 11 AM, individuals can pay their final respects at her residence...,” he mentioned.

On Saturday, Asha Bhosle's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, announced that her grandmother was hospitalized due to severe exhaustion and a chest infection.

Zanai shared on her official Instagram, "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle, has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. We ask for your understanding during this time. Treatment is ongoing, and we hope for a positive update soon."
