On Monday, the remains of Asha Bhosle were placed at her home in Mumbai, allowing friends and family to bid farewell to the beloved singer.
She was honored with state tributes, as soldiers draped her casket in the tricolor. Her final rites took place at 4 PM at the Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar.
Asha Bhosle began her illustrious career by singing her first playback song for the 1943 Marathi play ‘Majha Bal’.
