Guwahati, Jan 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the foundation laying ceremony for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project, a significant infrastructure endeavor valued at over Rs 6,950 crore, in Assam's Kaliabor this Sunday.

Residents have shown immense enthusiasm and praised both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for their forward-looking development initiatives, which they believe are "fueling progress" in the Northeast.

This 86-km elevated corridor project, officially known as the four-laning of the Kaliabor–Numaligarh section of NH-715, is tailored to be an environmentally conscious national highway project.

It encompasses a 35-km elevated wildlife corridor traversing through Kaziranga National Park, along with 21 km of bypasses and 30 km of expanding the existing highway.
