Suryavanshi made history as the youngest player ever to be auctioned in the IPL when he was signed by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore during the auction held in November 2024.

The BCA president expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I am incredibly thrilled, and I genuinely believe that Vaibhav will shine in the upcoming IPL 2025. People frequently inquire about who he will emulate, but my hope is for him to reach such extraordinary heights that others will look up to him."

As the Rajasthan Royals gear up for their first match of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Suryavanshi has already made a mark during practice sessions, displaying his impressive power-hitting capabilities in the nets.

His remarkable 2024 season saw him excel both on the domestic and international stages. Born on March 27, 2011, in Bihar, he is the youngest player to take part in this year’s IPL. He debuted in first-class cricket for Bihar in January 2024, at the tender age of just 12 years and 284 days.

On the international front, Suryavanshi shattered records by scoring the fastest youth Test century by an Indian, hitting a remarkable 58-ball century against Australia in Chennai. He also played a crucial role in guiding India to the ACC U19 Asia Cup final, where he contributed two essential half-centuries.
