Patna, July 5 (NationPress) Rakesh Tiwari, the president of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), stated that the Bihar Rural League (BRL) presents a remarkable opportunity for young athletes throughout the state. He highlighted that this initiative aims to narrow the divide between grassroots talent and mainstream cricket by offering a well-structured platform for aspiring cricketers from villages, schools, and smaller towns.
Eligibility for the league is restricted to players aged between 13 and 23 years who are permanent residents of Bihar. Tiwari referenced Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young cricketing sensation from Bihar, who has made significant strides in the cricketing world through dedication and perseverance.
According to Tiwari, the Bihar Rural League (BRL) is more than just a competition; it is a movement that will empower thousands of young talents to showcase their skills and aim higher.
"The Bihar Rural League signifies a tremendous opportunity for young players across the state. Recently, we have seen individuals like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who emerged from humble beginnings and made a name for himself through hard work," he remarked.
"The Bihar Rural League is tailored to provide thousands of players from villages, schools, and local clubs with a structured avenue to display their talent. Our focus will be on integrating grassroots cricket into the wider cricketing landscape, enabling players to dream bigger," Tiwari added.
The BCA has announced an extension for the registration deadline for the upcoming Bihar Rural League (BRL) to July 9. The original deadline was June 20, later pushed to June 27.
In response to rising interest from various districts and to ensure that no aspiring cricketer from village lanes, localities, or smaller grounds with lofty dreams is overlooked, the deadline has now been moved to July 9.
"We have decided to extend the registration deadline to July 9 to ensure that no deserving player is excluded. The response from districts across Bihar has been overwhelming, and we want to guarantee that even the most distant villages have the opportunity to participate," Tiwari remarked.
The registration process is entirely online, and interested players can apply by visiting the official website of the Bihar Cricket Association.
