Worcester (U.K.), July 5 (NationPress) The President of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA), Rakesh Tiwari, showered accolades on the young prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi after the talented batter achieved a remarkable century in just 52 balls during the fourth Under-19 Youth ODI against England on Saturday. Suryavanshi's outstanding performance not only made headlines but also secured him a place in the record books as he set a new world record for the fastest century in Youth ODIs.

Rakesh Tiwari expressed his pride in Vaibhav, who is just 14 years old, stating that he has brought honor to both Bihar and India. Tiwari emphasized that this record-breaking century is merely the beginning of what could be a series of achievements ahead.

The left-handed batter demonstrated a commanding performance, amassing 143 runs from 78 balls, including 13 fours and 10 sixes. He broke the previous record held by Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam, who had scored a century in 53 balls. Vaibhav surpassed this milestone by reaching his ton in just 52 balls, hitting 10 fours and 7 sixes along the way.

Vaibhav achieved his century during the 19th over of the Indian innings, showcasing remarkable confidence and composure at the crease. His outstanding play kept the bowlers under consistent pressure, reflecting both his mental resilience and deep understanding of the game.

Tiwari reiterated the BCA's commitment to nurturing and supporting emerging talents like Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

Currently, Vaibhav is the leading run-scorer of the series, with a total of 322 runs in four matches at an impressive average of 80.50 and a strike rate of 198.76, which includes a century and a fifty.
