Bengaluru, March 3 (NationPress) - On Tuesday, the Bengaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) Anti-Narcotics Wing apprehended two individuals involved in drug trafficking, one of whom is a woman, dismantling an inter-state narcotics network and confiscating drugs valued at Rs 10 crore.
The suspects have been named as Ashwin and Mubeena, both residing in Prestige Pansberry Heights Apartments located in the Bagaluru area of Bengaluru. Mubeena originates from Kerala. Authorities seized a total of 8,335 LSD strips weighing 124 kilograms, alongside five kilograms of hydro ganja, 534 kilograms of charas, two mobile devices, and a motorcycle.
Following a tip-off, law enforcement executed an operation in Bagaluru, successfully dismantling the trafficking operation. The accused had lived in Bengaluru for the past year and allegedly sourced their narcotics from an individual from Kerala who is currently based in Thailand. Following his instructions, they distributed the illicit drugs to customers for profit. Legal action has been initiated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In a separate case, a CCB team led by Inspector H.K. Mahanand seized 1.5 kilograms of hydro ganja that had been illegally imported via postal services. To avoid detection, the drugs were concealed within chocolate and biscuit packaging. The estimated worth of this hydro ganja is around Rs 1.5 crore. A case has also been filed under the NDPS Act, with police actively searching for the suspects.
Additionally, in a different operation targeting illegal immigration, CCB agents detained two women near the Mico Layout police station based on instructions from the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
