New Delhi, March 18 (NationPress) The President of the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), Ajay Singh, has announced the suspension of Secretary General Hemanta Kumar Kalita and Treasurer Digvijay Singh following an independent inquiry led by Justice (Retd.) Sudhir Kumar Jain. This investigation uncovered that both officials were guilty of serious financial irregularities and mismanagement of funds.
In the communication directed to Kalita and Singh, the BFI president stated, "This letter serves to formally notify you that following a complaint submitted by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) regarding alleged financial misconduct and mismanagement, I appointed the Hon'ble Mr. Justice (Retd.) Sudhir Kumar Jain, a former judge of the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, to carry out an independent investigation into this issue."
