New Delhi, June 23 (NationPress) A young engineer from Bihar's Siwan has been reported missing in Iran amid the ongoing military tensions involving the Gulf nation and Israel.
The individual in question is Siraj Ali Ansari (25), who hails from Ramapali village in the Muffasil police station jurisdiction.
Employed as a Quality Control Engineer at a petroleum firm, he was stationed in Iran when he vanished.
According to his father, Hazrat Ali, Siraj traveled to Saudi Arabia before arriving in Iran on June 9.
Shortly after his arrival, the situation between Iran and Israel deteriorated into conflict.
The last known communication from Siraj occurred on June 17, around 2 p.m., when he contacted his father.
Since that time, Siraj's phone has been unreachable and no further messages have been received.
“During our last conversation, he mentioned that he was in a secure location, although there were bombings just a kilometer away from him,” Hazrat Ali expressed.
“We are incredibly anxious. There has been no news from him since.”
In response to this distressing situation, the family submitted a formal plea to Siwan District Magistrate Aditya Prakash, urging the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian government for immediate action to secure Siraj's safe return.
Siraj's uncles, Shakeel Ahmad Ansari and Akhtar Ali Ansari, have also rallied for government support.
“I will be meeting the District Magistrate today,” Hazrat Ali stated.
“My earnest request to the Indian government and the Ministry of External Affairs is to evacuate my son and all other Indians trapped in the conflict area.”
Siraj is unmarried and the eldest among his two brothers and one sister.
