Bhopal, Nov 20 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed on Thursday his belief that Bihar is poised for comprehensive development under the new National Democratic Alliance government, following the historic swearing-in of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister for the tenth time in Patna.
Senior leaders from the BJP in Madhya Pradesh extended their congratulations to Nitish Kumar and his NDA colleagues. They emphasized that the new administration in Bihar has started with robust public backing and acknowledged a clear mandate for the alliance.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who actively campaigned in Bihar and attended the swearing-in, indicated that Bihar can look forward to consistent progress under the NDA.
“Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Nitish Kumar on taking oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time. I am entirely confident that under the leadership of PM Modi, the NDA government will strive towards a vision of a 'developed Bihar,'” CM Yadav stated in a post on X.
BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal commented on the Prime Minister’s gesture of waving a ‘gamchha’ during the ceremony, describing it as a token of affection and appreciation for the people of Bihar for their support during the Assembly elections.
“By waving a 'gamchha' at the swearing-in ceremony, PM Modi once again showed his sincere gratitude towards the people of Bihar. This gesture is not merely ceremonial; it stands as a symbol of Bihar's support and commitment to development,” Khandelwal wrote on X.
State Minister Vishwas Sarang, who campaigned in the Bihar assembly polls, remarked that Nitish Kumar’s tenth term as Chief Minister signifies a momentous achievement.
“The results of the Bihar election mark the dawn of a new era in Indian politics, where voters prioritize development. Nitish Kumar's swearing-in ceremony for the tenth time is a testament to this,” Sarang told IANS in Bhopal.
Alongside Nitish Kumar, twenty-six Cabinet Ministers were sworn in, with fourteen from BJP, eight from JD(U), two from LJP (RV), and one each from HAM (S) and RLM.
The NDA government has included nine new members in the Cabinet, among them Sanjay Kumar Singh of LJP (RV), who triumphed over Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap Yadav in the Mahua Assembly constituency.
Of the twenty-six ministers, Kumar’s Cabinet includes just one Muslim member.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
Kumar (71), a member of the legislative council (MLC), did not contest the Assembly elections.
