Synopsis
Key Takeaways
On March 5, 2023, significant developmental initiatives valued at Rs 97.36 crore were launched in the Nikol region of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This unveiling included a newly established 30-bed hospital, which is one of the primary facilities introduced during the event.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Viratnagar Community Health Centre in the city's eastern zone, presided over by Gujarat BJP president and Nikol MLA Jagdish Vishwakarma.
Under the auspices of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, a total of 31 distinct projects have been initiated.
During his address, Vishwakarma highlighted that the development model championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been instrumental in ensuring that benefits reach all segments of society.
“The development politics introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured that the benefits of progress are accessible to every individual in society,” he remarked.
He also took a jab at Congress, asserting that the party often makes promises during election campaigns but fails to deliver on projects.
“Congress merely makes promises to garner votes during elections. For 75 years, people received nothing but assurances. The BJP not only lays the groundwork for projects but also inaugurates them upon completion,” Vishwakarma stated.
Among the key projects mentioned at the event was the newly constructed 30-bed hospital, which was built at a cost exceeding Rs 10.91 crore. Vishwakarma noted that this facility was completed in just 15 months and features the services of 11 super-speciality doctors.
The hospital offers 43 types of diagnostic tests free of charge, including sonography and X-ray services.
Referring to the development efforts within his constituency, Vishwakarma mentioned that over Rs 1,000 crore worth of projects have been executed in the Nikol area since he assumed the role of MLA.
He highlighted infrastructure and public space developments, such as Vishwakarma Bridge, Laxman Bridge, Shabari Vatika, Lav-Kush Lake, and Shree Ram Party Plot, as significant achievements in recent years.
Additionally, he announced the upcoming construction of a modern e-library in Viratnagar.
Vishwakarma indicated that the state government is planning an advanced hospital for the eastern section of Ahmedabad, with an estimated budget of Rs 700 crore. “The municipal corporation has already earmarked Rs 50 crore for this project in the current budget,” he stated.
Furthermore, he revealed that the Kharicut canal project in the eastern region has been completed, costing approximately Rs 1,200 crore.
“Over 450 government schemes are currently benefiting every segment of society. Elected representatives and party workers are continuously engaged in addressing public concerns and promoting welfare initiatives,” he added.
