New Delhi, Oct 18 (NationPress) BJP leaders expressed their admiration on Saturday for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vow to eradicate Maoism from India by March 2026, commending his unwavering dedication to national security and a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.

This praise followed PM Modi's announcement that over 300 Maoists had surrendered in just 24 hours, a notable achievement in the government's sustained efforts against domestic terror organizations.

The Prime Minister indicated that these mass surrenders were indicative of the growing disillusionment among Maoist ranks and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to entirely dismantling the movement by 2026.

At the NDTV World Summit, PM Modi highlighted the significant reduction in Naxal-affected districts nationwide, which decreased from 125 a decade ago to only 11 today. He asserted, "The day is not far when India will be entirely free from Naxalism and Maoist violence; this is Modi's assurance."

BJP MP Gulam Ali Khatana remarked to IANS, "This remarkable decline illustrates that our nation takes precedence over party politics. The INDIA bloc prioritizes their party over the country. The strategic security measures implemented under PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah’s leadership to eliminate Maoism have resulted in this significant success, attributable to the Prime Minister’s vision and the Home Minister’s zero-tolerance policy."

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh also emphasized that the Modi administration's aim of eradicating Maoism by March 2026 is both resolute and attainable.

“It is essential to eliminate Maoism from its foundation. The Prime Minister is determined to completely eradicate Maoism before March 2026. Unlike during the Congress era, when Maoism received protection and urban Naxals were permitted to thrive in cities, the Modi government will eradicate this issue through developmental paths,” Chugh stated to IANS.

Chugh also criticized Congress, stating, “They weep for Maoist terrorists, while their ideology facilitates swift legal proceedings for those involved in the 26/11 massacre. Leaders like Rahul Gandhi continue to engage in 'naagin dance' using foreign toolkits. The Congress, which rolls out red carpets for terrorists, still endorses individuals who once proclaimed, 'Bharat tere tukde honge.' It is truly regrettable.”
