Bengaluru, May 6 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP has raised questions regarding the Congress-led state government over the purported question paper leak during the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) examination.
B. Y. Vijayendra, the State BJP president, stated that the KPSC has transformed into a “cesspool of irregularities and mismanagement” under the Congress-led Karnataka government’s “maladministration”.
He asserted that countless Kannada-medium candidates have suffered significant injustice due to translation mistakes in the preliminary exam, the re-exam, and the main exam. He emphasized that another mishap has jeopardized the future of job seekers, inciting public outrage.
Vijayendra mentioned, “On Monday, a bundle of question papers was discovered unsealed at a center in Bengaluru, with even the invigilators acknowledging this fact.”
Demanding an investigation into the alleged paper leak, he stated, “The state government will have to face consequences.”
“It is noteworthy that one of the KPSC question papers was allegedly leaked just a day before the exam. Furthermore, when aspirants inquired about the unsealed question paper at the exam center, officials threatened them,” he explained.
Previously, Union Minister for Food and Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, criticized the Karnataka government, asserting that by accepting applications and issuing hall tickets until late at night for the May 3 KPSC main examination to recruit 384 gazetted probationers, the state has conveyed a deeply negative message to the entire nation.
In his remarks on the situation, Union Minister Joshi condemned the state government.
“The KPSC has become a black mark on the nation, exemplifying the misrule by the Congress-led government in Karnataka. The only justice would be CM Siddaramaiah’s resignation,” he demanded.
He harshly criticized the KPSC, labeling it a “cursed institution” for the state and its people.
